Sheldon’s academic background, coupled with his corporate and entrepreneurial assignments provides an excellent perspective for clients who wish to begin the journey of applying critical measures to processes with a view toward understanding data and making sustaining improvements.
A licensed professional engineer by training, Sheldon has held corporate assignments which are complimented by the successful leadership of two entrepreneurial companies, and Sheldon is a professor in the College of Business at the Indiana Institute of Technology. He is an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor and ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. His experience as a business practitioner and an academic creates a unique approach to client engagements; and one where the consultant has actually been on the other side of the table.
Sheldon draws extensively from his background as a business executive and entrepreneur when designing client programs to measure performance and train employees on methods to achieve measureable process results, improve financial performance and increase customer satisfaction. A particular area of client success has involved using structured approaches such as balanced scorecard and six sigma methodologies to assist organizations in the preparation of becoming ISO and J.D. Power Certified.
Sheldon earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the City College of New York, a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and he has an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He is a published author and frequent contributor to professional journals, and he speaks regularly at professional society workshops and trade seminars. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a senior member of the American Society for Quality.
